Healing Through Horses
Bayside Equine Rescue invites Veterans and First Responders to connect with horses in a peaceful setting. Build confidence, learn new skills, and foster camaraderie in a supportive environment. No horse experience necessary!

Bayside Equine Rescue, in collaboration with H2H Vets, is excited to offer Veteran & First Responder Equine Workshops on Cape Cod! These unmounted sessions provide a secure, enjoyable, and enriching atmosphere for participants of all abilities. Participate in meaningful horse interactions, hone new skills, boost your confidence, and foster connections with fellow veterans and first responders. Experience the profound bond between humans and horses in a nurturing and friendly space. Come and be part of this memorable journey!
Meet Sparky
Sparky is a retired Navy and National Lacers veteran. He retired to Bayside Equine Rescue in July of 2023.
While with the Navy Sparky was at the Oceana Stables, Virginia Beach, VA. He was primarily used as a recreational trail riding horse for the families living at the nearby Naval Base.
With the National Lancers Sparky was a great teaching/training horse for the newer Lancer members and a trusted parade horse.
Sparky thrived in the Lancers Veteran’s Wellness Program. With the rescue's new endeavor of hosting Equine Workshops Sparky will continue to provide and connect with veterans.
